(Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital - Sorbonne Université Faculty of Health Sciences)

Nadya Pyatigorskaya is a Professor of Neuroradiology at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital and a researcher at the Paris Brain Institute (ICM), Paris. She specializes in neurodegenerative diseases, movement disorders and dementia,  PET-MRI, and interventional MRI techniques, including High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT).

After graduating from medical school in Paris in 2007, she became a board-certified radiologist in 2013 and earned her PhD in neurosciences in 2016. She obtained her habilitation to direct research in 2021 and became full Professor in 2023. Her expertise spans Neuroradiology and Head and Neck Imaging, with a strong research focus on integrating PET-MRI into clinical practice, imaging biomarkers for movement disorders and neurodegeneration, and the development of interventional MRI applications.

Professor Pyatigorskaya has held leadership roles in radiology education, previously serving as President of the Association of Residents and Young Radiologists and Vice-Chair of the Radiology Trainee Forum. She is a board member of the French Radiology Society and the French Neuroradiology Society. Additionally, she is an active member of ESR, RSNA, ESNR, ISMRM, and the Movement Disorders Society. She also serves on the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Neuroradiology
