Provenzale James

James Provenzale trained in Neurology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and attained board certification in that specialty. He then trained in Radiology and Neuroradiology at Massachusetts General Hospital during the period 1987-1992. Since 1992, he has been on staff in Neuroradiology at Duke University Medical Center, being Chief of Neuroradiology during the period 1996-2008. From 2008-2014, he worked half-time at Emory University School of Medicine performing research in applications of nanotechnology to medicine. His major research interest is diffusion tensor imaging and its role in assessment of various brain disorders.
