Vilma Kosović, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Mostar School of Medicine, University of Dubrovnik School of Nursing, and University of Mostar Health Studies Department. Dr Kosović is also Chair of the Department of Radiology at Dubrovnik General Hospital. She successfully passed her radiology board exam in 2009 and completed her PhD at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 2015, with the doctoral thesis “Correlation of calcified breast arteries with atherosclerotic changes of carotid arteries.” Dr Kosović is fellowship-trained and certified in body ultrasound (2019) and neuroradiology (2021). She successfully passed the corresponding subspecialty exams administered by the European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR). Her clinical and research work focuses on neuroradiology and breast imaging. Dr. Kosović successfully completed a Visiting Professor Observership at the Department of Radiology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York (2022).
